I'm sorry, but I've never heard of a 7 layer bean dip...
I know there's Bean Dip(can of refried beans, 1/2 cup of chunky salsa, 1 lb of mexican cheese mixed all together and microwave until mixture is well blended)....and there's
7 Layer Dip (1 can refried beans, tbsp. taco seasoning mix, cup of sour cream, cup of salsa, cup of shredded lettuce or cup of guacamole,1/2 sliced green onions, 2 tbsp. sliced pitted olives and lots of shredded mexican style cheese...mix beans & taco seasoning mix together and spread on a pie or quiche dish/plate then layer all remaining ingredients, cover and refrigerate until well chilled) HTH!

this has black beans:

1 can refried beans
1 can black beans, rinsed and drained
1 - 16 oz. container sour cream
1 package Taco Seasoning mix
1 c shredded lettuce
1/2 c salsa or diced tomatoes
1/3 c chopped or diced onion or green onion
1 small can sliced black olives
8 oz. finely shredded cheese of your choice

Spread the refried beans on your platter. Top with the black beans. Bake at 350 for 15-18 minutes until warmed through. Mix the taco seasoning with the sour cream and spread over the beans (You can also mix the taco seasoning with the beans if you want to keep your sour cream layer bright white). Layer the lettuce, cheese, salsa or tomatoes and onions. Top with the black (ripe) olives. Serve! Good warm or cold

I don't have a seven layer dip but this recipe is always a hit and so easy to make:
blend with a hand mixer 16 oz of sour cream, 1 box of cream cheese, and 1 taco seasoning pack
spread 1 can of refried beans into 8x8 pan or any size close to this
top beans with sour cream mixture--then top that with the taco blend shredded cheese(or fav shredded cheese) then top with any or all of the following--sliced black olive, shredded lettuce, tomato, onion...
also can top beans with guacomole before sour cream mixture if you love guac.

My personal fav:

Mexican Dip
(Double all ingredients for larger crowd)
1 can refried beans
Spread on bottom of serving dish
8 oz sour cream
½ cup Real Mayo
1 packet Taco seasoning mix
Mix all three together and spread over first
layer
2 large avocados
1 packet guacamole mix
Follow instructions to make guacamole and
spread over sour cream mixture
1 cup chopped tomatoes
½ cup canned green onions
1 can green chilies
Mix together and pour over guacamole
1 cup finely grated Mexican cheddar cheese
Sprinkle over tomato/onion mixture

~ Heat in 250 degree oven JUST until cheese is melted ~
~ Serve with chips and several gallons of Margaritas ~
Ole!

The layered taco dips are always a hit with my family too! Yum. Now I want some...
Ours is a little simpler, no beans. But now I"m wondering why no one in my family has ever added beans??? I'll have to mix it up next time and do that!

From bottom to top we do:
home made guacamole
sour cream with the taco seasonings mixed in
mixture of cheeses (the shredded mexican cheese package at the grocery store
chopped tomatoes
olives
green onions

It is served cold. With a big bag of El Rancho tortilla chips.
