I discovered Nutella as a replacement for peanut butter on my running race days. It has more carbs in it than PB! It's great on a toasted bagel.

I love Nutella! At least once a week I make myself a nutella bananna sandwich for breakfast. It's my form of Elvis' favorite sandwich but not grilled, 2 slices of cinnamon bread (I use Pepperidge farms), a whole bananna sliced and nutella spread over one side of the bread! Delish and fairly good for you. I also make strawberry crepes for breakfast when they are in season. Crepes spred with nutella and topped with sliced strawberries.

My son has a toasted bagel with a smear of Nutella on it every morning for breakfast plus a glass of milk - he scoffs the lot and I'm just pleased that's he's going to school with a full and charged up stomach, ready to go!

Sorry, I haven't read the whole of this thread but do people realize that Nutella is made by Ferrero and is exactly the same stuff that they put in Ferrero Roche chocolates? No wonder they taste nyummy!

A lower calorie version of those can be made by mixing up Nutella and bashed up Ryvita, rolling it into small balls and chilling it. Try it, you'd be surprised!

for those who are very motivated! This ran in the Chicago Trib's food section this today
http://www.chicagotribune.com/featur...,7896532.story
I might try it one day just because I like to control what is in my food these days but the way the intro sounds doesn't really sound worth it somehow.

YUMMMMY, I love this stuff.

Its delicious with bananas. But a while back a made a nutella crepe cake, it was yummy. I got the idea here but used nutella instead :)

Also, there's this bubble tea place near my house that will make yummy waffles with nutella or condensed milk and its to die for *drool*

I've heard of Nutella but didn't know what it was... and I don't think I actually noticed it when shopping... didn't grow up with it, and neither did my DH.

But! I was at costco yesterday and they had a huge stack of pallets of shrink-wrapped 2packs at the end of an aisle. I looked and was like "it's chocolate & hazelnut?? I like both of those things, I'm gonna give it a shot." I figured if we didn't like it, the other bottle could be donated to a food bank or something.

So I brought it home, hubby opened it up, took a spoonful... made this face, and while I was like "What, is it not good?" He said "No.. it's horrible... you don't want any!" and then turned his back and pretended to run away with the jar and the spoon. lol!

He did let me have a taste... that stuff is delicious!

I first tried Nutella when I went to Paris in college. I was instantly hooked! It tastes really great on crepes and other things, but my favorite way to eat it is straight out of the container with a spoon. My husband thinks that is disgusting, but I don't care!

I've been seeing an insane amount of Nutella commercials lately. It seems like they are trying to target it as a semi healthy snack for kids. I don't know how true that is...
