Default Not-so-bad-for-you Strawberry Shortcake
I love strawberry shortcake and put together this little low calorie dessert. I am posting pictures because I always like to know what an ingredient will look like in the supermarket if I've never seen it before so I know if it's the right thing.

1 individual pound cake shell (85 calories)
1/4 cup frozen sugar-free strawberries thawed (25 calories)
1/4 cup Breyer's double churned no sugar added vanilla ice cream (40 calories)
1 tbsp light whipped topping (10 calories)

I put 1/8 cup strawberries in pound cake shell to soak the pound cake in the juice. Then put 1/4 cup scoop of ice cream and then a little more of the strawberries. Then top with whipped topping and add more strawberries and drizzle juice on top. It's so delicious and only 160 calories.

The sugar-free frozen strawberries could be replaced with sugar-free strawberry jam mixed with 1tbsp water (to make a syrup consistency) but I'm not sure of the calorie count on that.

never had strawberry short cake that way but will have to give it a try since hubby's favorite ice cream flavor is vanilla.

I've never tried it with ice cream coz I tend to get the not NON-fat ice cream so I've always used non-fat whip cream instead. I think I'll try to no-sugar vanilla ice cream too.
Thanks for the tip!
