Default No more Pizza Hut

I’m sure it’s been asked before - but what do you do for a really fast, simple meal with little cleanup and time involved. Please don’t say Pizza Hut!

Stir fry!

It only takes 1 pan and about 15 minutes, and I usually make it when there's stuff in my fridge that's about to go bad, it's great for using stuff up that you wouldn't have anything to do with otherwise. You can add whatever meat and veggies that you like, you just start by cooking the ones that take the longest and add the others as it goes. You can make as much or as little as you want, and it keeps well in the fridge for leftovers.

I know!!! I am putting myself on a pizza ban! I always feel sick the next day. I do sandwiches, pasta, stirfry, veggie burgers, chicken salad, or salads. There are loads of great recipe sites and books for quick meals.

Default idea

use a Foldtuk. goes from freezer to oven and is dishwasher safe. Not the only solution or by far the most expansive, but hey, it certainly helps.

strange first post... but to answer your question, you should get a rice cooker. It does a whole lot more than rice. You can add pasta, water, and sauce and have pasta 20 minutes later with just the rice cooker pan to clean. You can also add rice, water, veggies, and chicken, and 30 minutes later you have a healthier version of fried rice.

How does this work? How do you add the water and the sauce? Or do you mean cook the pasta in the water, drain, then add sauce?

A couple of our favorite quick meals:

Near East boxed couscous (toasted pine nut is our favorite) with a drizzle of balsamic vinegar and thin slices of sharp white cheddar cheese

Elbow macaroni tossed with nutmeg, butter, shredded fresh raw spinach, and comte cheese grated on top (like mac and cheese for adults... and about 10 mins to make!)

pita pizzas- brush a pita with olive oil and top with sliced red onions and red bell peppers, crumbled feta, and fresh basil, then bake for 8-10 mins at 350 degrees
