Default How to make healthy and easy sushi at home??

I love eating sushi but unfortunately there's only one place relatively near me that makes it and there selection is limited.

Can anyone give me detailed instructinos on how to make it homemade? I've heard that brown rice should be used instead of white if you're looking to make it healthier. . . fact of fiction?

Many years ago I tried to make it myself at home and it was kind of a disaster. I tried to make rolls and they would not stay closed so once I cut them they kind of sprung open! I quickly discovered the joys of hand rolls! Those were easy, delicious and didn't fall apart.
There are a ton of books (try Amazon) you can get on the subject - it is important to make the rice properly. Also it's really important to get very fresh fish otherwise don't even bother making it. (unless it's a veggie roll)

I have tried making sushi at home and it's really quite simple! here's a link to my recipe and the steps to make it..hope u will find it useful! the pics below are of what I made, seriously, it's not that hard! it was my first time making as well...on brown rice, I have not tried with brown rice but the texture of brown rice differs quite a lot from Japanese short grain rice, u will probably have to tweak the recipe a little, perhaps add more vinegar...

just remember to soak the rice before cooking, use hand vinegar while handling the rice! have fun!
