how often do you eat out

Just out of curiosity, under this economic conditions, are people still eatintg out? A few years ago, my DH and I used to eat out for lunch and dinner on the weekends, and maybe 3 dinners out on the weekdays. In the past two years, we have cut down to maybe 1-2 meals out a week. How about the rest of you?

we still eat out on fridays for dinner - same as always.

Since I have kids we sometimes get take out instead of dining out. Still it's only once a week or less and this isn't due to the current economic climate, this is the way it's always been. Overall it's cheaper to cook yourself and saves on calories too.

During the school year, I go out for lunch in between classes about 2-3 times a week. Now, I actually have the time to cook at home! Every Tuesday, I eat breakfast by myself(with a good book) at my favorite cafe down the street. I'd love to go often but it gets crowded most other days for some reason which makes it difficult to get a table for one.

Usually every Friday and Saturday my family goes to a restaurant for dinner. We hardly ever go out for breakfast or lunch.

Never really. I meet for lunch/dinner with the girls sometimes.. but not a lot. & then we have a chinese takeaway maybe once every few months.

I get takeouts from Subway a lot though.. yummy!

We used to eat out every night. DBF used to eat out for all his meals. I usually eat breakfasts at home and make lunches myself (about 5 days a week).

Now, I make dinner twice a week because we are getting chubby from eating out all the time. Saves money, too! DBF will eat out all the time by himself if I am traveling. I know for a fact that he doesn't know how to use our stove or microwave because he called me out of the bathroom one time as the water was boiling over because he "tried all the knobs and pressed all the buttons and couldn't turn the stove off".

When I go home to visit my parents, we go out for dinner only on Saturday nights and breakfast on Sunday mornings.

Wow...I LOVE eating out whether it's with an SO or group of GFs...so this is a must have in my life.

A GF and I found a great spot on the waterfront with amazing food and drinks, and...half price happy hour and food. We both love it b/c I'm getting laid off in Sept and she's in real estate so the market is soft...but we won't compromise on eating out!

Everyday for my DH and me (breakfast- on the weekends, lunch and dinner always).It gets tiring to think of where and what to eat for the next meal. Sometimes we argue about who needs to decide. LOL. I crave homecooked meals at times but it's the sacrifice I have to make
since I don't have the time or energy to cook.
