I love oysters! My dad would put them in boiling salted water for maybe 3 minutes, they firm up a bit and makes them really easy to open. Yummm. I dip them in vinegar or squeeze some lemon on. I also discovered I can steam them in the microwave. I wrap a couple in a damp towel and microwave for a minute or two. Works really well!

DH loves them sauteed in butter and garlic and eaten with steamed rice They are delish in an omelette too.

I LOVE Oysters! My faves:

*with wasabi lime dressing and wakame (seaweed salad)
*with chilli, lime, coriander (thai)
*with Tabasco sauce & lemon
*with creme fraiche and caviar

I could keep going :)

I love oysters; steamed or raw. I'll eat them plain, but prefer them with a touch of spicy cocktail or a dash of hot sauce and some lemon.

Oysters. There are few things I crave as often as raw oysters. I can have a dozen or two in one sitting, easy! YUM.

I eat raw oysters at least once a year when they are in season. I put on on a cracker and top it with horseradish and cocktail sauce... mmmm delicious!

I also like them fried, and on a po' boy.. Great like this on a sandwich.

I also have had them in some freaking great cheese fondue with mushrooms, spinach, shrimp, oysters, and tons of cheese.

Oh and they are great in Gumbo too.
