Default How do you cook your ribs??

I made baby back ribs tonight--I rub mine with seasoned salt, cover with bbq sauce and place in my crock pot with about 1/4 inch of water. I set my crock pot at 10 hours and cook all day--adding more sauce throughout the day--sometimes I will put them on a hot grill for a couple minutes but we usually just eat out of the crock pot. My ribs have to be falling off the bone to eat. How do you like yours--and what sides do you serve with them??

When we make ribs it's similar to your method-- boil in water, or beer and grill, or bake. We usually make a bbq sauce and just keep reducing and applying until there is this thick and sticky coating.
As for sides, I say pasta or potato salad and corn on the cob. Or, mashed potatoes-- depending on the time of year you are eating your ribs.
Wow, I could go for some ribs!!

Boil, and then oven or sometimes barbeque. We just use the sauce you can get in a jar. I had ribs for lunch today. Yummy!

I used to put mine in the crockpot, but I don't like it when the meat falls completely from the bone, or the muck that the water turns into that I have to take down to the street and pour out.

I now put them in the oven, on a pan with a rack so the fat dribbles off, at 250 degrees for 4-5 hours. If the weather is OK I will finish them on the grill with the sauce, if not I will start putting the sauce on after about two hours then adding more about every half hour. The meat gets very tender this way as well.

Here's an outstanding recipe for a grilled corn salad that goes really well with ribs:

now thats a GREAT idea!! IKWYM about that nasty water in the crockpot--although I do have to admit I do like when the meat pretty much falls off the bone.
