Talking Good 'ol country cookin'...what's your fave?

Being raised in the South Carolina lowcountry, I've grown up on country food: fried everything, boiled peanuts, garden fresh veggies, tons of seafood....

What's everyone's guilty pleasure? Fried chicken? Collard greens? Chicken bog? Rice & gravy? Oyster roasts? Pig pickins'?

Fess up!!!

SO MUCH! My family is very diverse to start off with. My mom was born in Montreal and then moved to Kentucky for her early years. I love traditional southern cooking. Nothing like fried chicken, cloeslaw and collard greens! Mmmm. My grandmas side of the family is deeply danish, finnish, and swedish (my Great GandG were both immigrants from finland and sweden by way of denmark) so were big into traditional foods. Also taking into account that its a huge thing here in MN.

Ahhh....BBQ! Now the age old question: Vinegar or mustard???
I love mine shredded, with plenty of spicy vinegar based sauce with red pepper flakes in it. Add a few dashes of my favorite hot sauce...MMMM!
