I eat like crap. 80% of my diet (until lately now that I'm trying to change, I'm a little worried about my blood sugar) is sugar carbs. I eat fast food more than I should but not every day. My big problem is just sweets, candy, sugar...
Despite all the crap I eat, I count calories religiously and set limits for myself. I only drink diet sodas and diet energy drinks, and I drink a TON of them (if I drank regular soda I would be about 30 pounds heavier). from this post you'd think I weigh at least 200 pounds, but I"m 5'9" and like 117 so deep down I wasn't too worried about my eating habits until I realized that irregular meals were giving me headaches and making me dizzy. Now I'm slightly concerned about a family history of diabetes so I've really backed off the sugar and tried to incorporate some healthy proteins (I never really eat meat, it's gross). So, I'm trying to make changes. We'll see how it goes. |

i have a really bad diet... its sometimes a wonder that im still alive!
usually i eat fruit (bananas, apples, peaches, plums, oranges etc) when i can, vogels with marmite, fish (i love fish), noodles, and sneak potato chips in as well... basically, i snack on gum (loganz - i bought a gross pack of smokes, but havent had the guts to do it yet... will keep you posted) and rice crackers. i dont really eat proper meals each day, its usually on the run or it just because im too lazy!!!! i try my best to stay away from diary because i don't like it (how crazy is that - my bones are probably breaking as i type this) i dont like milk or cheese or certain ice creams! and i dont think i ever will! i dont eat a lot of red meat - just fish please. hopefully, give or take a few years, i'll still be around...

Things I stay away from: All meat except seafood, dairy, soda (except Whole Foods Ginger Ale every now and then), and most juices. I'm really a water kinda girl.
Things I enjoy: Veggies, rice, pasta, cereal, Potato chips, peanut butter, popcorn with nutriional yeast, hmmmm I guess this could go on and on. I also love fruit, but lately get real stomach pains if I have it, especially on an empty stomach. I would love to go back to being a vegetarian except that I really don't like to cook so it makes it difficult to be healthy all the time. I'd much rather grab a bowl of Honey Smacks for dinner afer work, then going into the kitchen to whip up a meal. The only time I miss not cooking is when I'm at work the next day at lunch, starving because I don't have any leftovers to eat! |

If you all want to hear th weirdest diet ever, here it goes. I am a lover of food- my whole family is. My mom's side came from Hungary and my dad's side from Ireland. That makes for some huge meals. A few years ago, I was getting really sick and going to the hospital all the time. Finally the doctors figured out it was due to food allergies. Now here comes all my allergies... I am allergic to: Wheat (yep that takes away a WHOLE lot) Dairy (makes me really sick) Nuts (throat swells shut) Fish (same thing as above) Egg Yolk (that means no flu shot for me) Tomatoes (I eat them anyway) Thats about all as far as allergies go. But before the food allergies I was already very healthy. My mom is a huge organic and health food nut, so I grew up eating very healthy. I never drink soda, not even because of health reasons but I don't like it. I eat all purse foods, lots of veggies, brown rice and sweet potatoes, chicken and lean meats, and i do eat red meat. Now just because I have so many allergies and eat healthy, it does not mean that I don't indulge from time to time! I have an amazing recipe for gluten free/dairy free brownies that tastes amazing, a recipe for oatmeal chocolate chip cookies that are wheat and dairy free, etc. So I still indulge!!

^^ Ohh yea!! It is always nice to find people who do eat somewhat similar to me. My mom brought me up on healthy eating. I don't think one kid EVER wanted to trade anything in my lunch with me. I got a sandwhich with meat and lettuce (no PB&J), vegetables, fruit, and then my mom always made us some sort of treat. We were not deprived, but I have never eaten a Ho-Ho! Ha

I love to eat, but I am trying to watch what I eat at the same time. I work (i.e. sit on my butt) from 8 to 6pm (if not later), so I try not to snack too much.
My favorite foods tend to be healthy foods, since I grew up eating lots of fresh veggies and fish. I love "authentic" Chinese food where I can find it (I wish that I paid more attention to my mom's cooking growing up) - noodle soups, Asian veggies, lots and lots of tofu - and Korean food. Lately, I've been on a weird veggie burger kick. I've been eating them nearly every night...I'm sure it's a phase. My junk food weakness would have to be Mexican food....I love fish tacos. Yum! |
