Nothing wrong with the tomato or pepper, but I dislike mayo and it's not good for you anyway. So I voted no on that, but if you took away the mayo, I would have voted yes LOL.

I'm a vegetarian and it's not just the ham that doesn't appeal to me. In fact, the only thing that does is the tomato and pepper - nix everything else, including the white bread.

Oh, I have to say that I think Miracle Whip is from the devil... I think it is just terrible tasting stuff!

Get rid of the tomato and I'd eat it with some Doritos!

Verdict: That's a completely ordinary sandwich to me. Nothing about it is at all weird. Condiments and toppings are subjective.

You want weird? People eat head cheese sandwiches....

Sounds like a normal sandwich to me- although I am not a big fan of mayo personally.

Sounds normal to me too but I don't like Mayo and i'm not a big fan of american cheese either.

I don't know what's worse, what I was thinking head cheese was or what it actually is

I voted normal. It's usually what I make for my husband, minus the pepper though.

Now reading some other posts, did you mean pepper such as salt and pepper or pepper, like the vegetable?

LOL! I agree. As a general rule I'm not into sweet & tangy condiments, though. I like Hellmans mayo, because it's salty!

For ham sandwiches, I love deli ham and a thin piece of American cheese with Hellmans on one side and yellow mustard on the other. It's one of my favorite sandwiches!... Pepper is fine, but I don't like tomatoes on this sort of sandwich, because they get soggy/slimy.

Unappealing as it is...I don't like white bread. My grandmother used to make us ham sandwiches on white bread and it was just a big doughy ham, mayo, white bread ball stuck in the roof of my mouth.

Now wheat bread I can do. I love tomatoes on sandwiches. I used to work at a place and you could make your sandwich to order, of course they had a menu with prices. The lady had no idea what to charge me when I asked her to make me a tomato sandwich on toasted wheat bread with lite mayo. I think she ended up charging me about 80 cents.

Substitute ham with turkey and that would be the sandwich I eat most often!
