The Newbie?

Default Do you like sharing food with other people? I don't...I'm a germaphobe!

I hate it when I'm out having fun and a friend takes a sip of my martini. Whats even worse is when someone licks their spoon and then uses that spoon to try a bit of whats on your plate. All I think is, "Ewww...their saliva touched my food!"

I know that there's a very little chance of getting any diseases, but I'm still grossed out by it. LOL...can you tell I don't kiss that many guys on the first few dates?

Anyone else here similar to me?

I don't, but it doesn't bother me so much about the germs, it's the fact that they don't ask and just take it.

I don't mind if it's people I know well and I know their hygiene routines.

I wouldn't mind with a boyfriend or husband I'll have some day, but other people, YUCK. I do not want your gross germs. And don't get me starting on double-dipping...

Yeah, if I'm out having drinks with the girls and sharing munchies we are always conscientious and use the common serving forks/spoons to serve onto our own plates. Easy enough, eh?

As far as someone sharing a sip of my drink or vice versa, I don't worry about this too much because they would just take a teeny sip.

I don't even like eating things that my co-workers bring to pot-lucks, because who knows under what type of conditions they were prepared?

I am really surprised my brother didn't starve to death when he was a child, he was an intense germaphobe so my sister and I made it our lives' mission to contaminate his food whenever possible.

I only don't mind sharing food with family. But if it's with a bunch of friends that aren't related to me, I'll get grossed out. I wouldn't even want to share food with a Boyfriend until I marry him. Because god knows if he'll even stick around, anyway.

This is nothing compared to double dipping though. That's 1000 times worse. Yucky!

I freak out and have to close my eyes when people take a bite of my food (like say I'm eating a wrap and they take a bite) because I swear if I watch them do it, I can see their saliva glistening at me in the spot where they took the bite from.

Same thing with spoons/forks. I hate it when they leave a little bit of the food still in the spoon - like with ice cream - and you can see their saliva mixed with the food. I guess you could say that saliva grosses me out in general... not that it affects with my love life *ahem*.

The only person I don't mind sharing with is my boyfriend! If it is my best friend or someone else very close to me, sure they can have a bite of my food or a sip of my drink, but I am a little wary of it lol.

I'll do it with my BF or my mom. I trust them.

Sidenote - I do double dip my pita into my hummus in front of my roomie so she won't eat it.
