Definitely dressing with my salad. I always order dressing on the side and use it sparingly. I also really like the salad dressings from the grocery store that come in a spray bottle.

well considering the only way i can handle eating salad is if i dump on dressing, bacon bits, cheese and croutons i eat salad with my dressing....i have to hide the taste of the vegies and the crunch of the vegies, or else i can't handle eating it.

When I can get my hands on ranch dressing I'll have some salad with that. Unfortunately (or luckily) we don't have ranch dressing in Germany, so my salads end up with a healthy amount of oil/lemon/basil dressing.

I try to use as little as possible. I use red wine vinegar alot of times. Dressing is one of my weaknesses.

Depends on where and what type of salad. At a restaurant, I always order dressing on the side, because they can be waaay too liberal with the dressing. At home, if I'm making a traditional American salad (lettuce, cheese, veggies), then I like a healthy amount of light French dressing. If I'm making a salad that doesn't work with French (lettuce, carrots, pears, pecans, and blue cheese is my favorite), then I just add a touch of balsamic vinegar and nothing else.

I don't usually do dressing, especially if a salad has a lot of stuff going on (ie nuts, cheese, etc) I find it really unnecessary. Sometimes I throw on a smidge of vinegar though...
