Default Difference between soy milk and soybean milk?

I was just wondering if there's a difference between the two? I always drink soybean milk, esp the green kind, and the other day I had some soy milk (silk) at a friend's house. They taste different and that's about all I know. lol

from what i gather from google, it seems that its all basically the same thing, as in if you say soy it can mean either. what makes it different is how its made, from what i gather it can be made from either a soy powder or soy beans.

I think they both mean the same thing, but there's lots of different flavors and varieties. Even the same flavor can taste really different depending on the brand

In non-Asian stores, it's usually soy milk. In Asian grocers, it's usually soy bean milk.

Oh, and I think the reason why the taste is so different between the two is because in non-Asian stores, the sweetened soy milk is usually with vanilla or something. In Asian stores, the milk is just sweet. I'm thinking that the expeller process is slightly different as the Asian ones are usually a teeny bit thicker than Silk and the other more mainstream brands.

Interesting... the soybean milk is green? I've only ever seen soy milk, I would have assumed they were the same thing, but obviously not. I'm intrigued.

I agree.

I personally prefer Asian soy (bean) milk than those found in western grocery markets. There's a huge difference in taste.
