I do a minimum order of a dozen cupcakes but most so far have been for 4-6 (which is between 48 and 72 cupcakes) so the time it would take to individually paint the fondant would be quite a bit, and that's excluding the set up, drying time and clean up. Making the mixture, baking the cupcakes, allowing to cool, rolling and embossing the fondant, cutting and applying to the cupcakes, decorating and cleaning up alone takes longer than I'd like so I'm not too keen to add to it. But thanks for the idea. I'll definitely keep it in mind.

Thanks Baby Boo. I wish I could send you some to taste test.
oscarcat729, I'm actually following the Cupcakes Take The Cake blog and visit it daily for inspiration and a good ol' drool session. I'm a long way off being featured on the blog but thanks so much for the suggestion. Maybe one day... This week I'll be baking an order of cupcakes with butterfly and flower sugarpaste decorations so please check back to see how they turn out.

Thanks Necro. I hope they look and taste delicious when I'm done.

KittyBag, thanks so much for popping in to visit my thread. It makes me so happy to hear you enjoy looking at (or as you say 'drooling' over) my cupcakes. Thanks for your support and please visit again soon as I'll be adding a lot more of my cupcake creations in the coming weeks.

I hope to post photos of my completed vanilla bean cupcakes with handmade sugarpaste butterfly and flower toppers this weekend so be sure to keep an eye out for those. I'd love to hear your thoughts.

They've been really great for ideas and inspiration.

Addictive, inspirational, tempting, tantalising... oh the list goes on!!

KAM will be here in a matter of days and I'm beyond excited to start baking and creating with her.
For anyone not aware of what I'm referring to, it's this... my KitchenAid Artisan Mixer in Candy Apple Red!

She's like a big beautiful toffee apple, gorgeously glossy and sickeningly sweet. Sure to put a smile on my dial and brighten my otherwise ordinarily underwhelming kitchen. While I was initially taken with the beautiful burgundy toned cinnamon colour, I have to say I'm happy with how things turned out. My ruby rose replacement will be here by the end of the month and I can't wait!

^^ I just posted in your thread about your new mixer. I can't wait to see the action pics. I think I'll put one on my wishlist while I'm at it.

If you're after the Candy Apple Red Limited Edition 90th Anniversary KitchenAid Mixer (like mine above) you can get it on sale here for $725 including delivery (within Australia). The original RRP was around the $900 mark so it's a bargain! If you're not after such a bright colour there are plenty of others available at the same price.
