Do any of you make/eat something different on Thanksgiving than the traditional turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, etc.? Share your unique Thanksgiving dishes.

I can't tell you the last time I had a piece of turkey. Our family usually prepares West Indian dishes from curry goat, oxtail, macaroni pie, etc. While we make the turkey and it's the center on the dinner table, we barely have a slice. My father has joked in the past in that the turkey will get up one day and walk out

I make a purple sweet potato mashed potato dish with coconut milk and celery seed that is pretty delicious and always a hit because, well....it's purple! Sometimes I do a little modified yin/yan thing with yams for the presentation that's kind of awesome. If I do it this year I will post pics.

Mmmm. Sweet potato mash with coconut milk sounds delish.

Whats macaroni pie? A fancy mac and cheese?

Not really lol. We definitely use bigger noodles than the traditional American style mac-and-cheese.
