watches...huh? what? HELP!!

So our first wedding anniversary is almost here (June 4th!!) and DH's parents want to buy us both watches...they keep sending me links to check out, but im soooooo lost it's not even funny.

Please help!!!

They want me to stick to three brands - either Tag Heuer, Omega or Longines

Someone help, I love bags and jewlery...but when it comes to watches, i know nothing! Seriously, as of last week I didn't even KNOW what omega or longines was!!!!!

SO WHAT WATCH WOULD YOU GET (as a 25 year old grad student) AND WHY?!?!

Wow....Omega and Longines. Lucky you! Classy, brands. It all depends on the watches that you select. Technomarine also has some very class pieces, but they are sportier. If they want to spend that much on those watches, that's when pick something classic that you will wear a very long time. I am seriously into watches so I know.
Technomarine has only been around about 10 years and they do lean to the sporty, trendy side. Longines is a well-respected brand, as is Omega. They were around for a long time and were acquired by the Swatch Group.

You didn't put any styles up, so it would be very difficult to vote, as each brand has very different styles.

thanks starbucksqueen! the in laws really want us to stick within those three but i really do not know anything about them.

What is the usual demographic for the watches, like i said no to a rado because i feel like its a more mature brand (ie my mom has one lol)...

but i have never even heard of longines haha and last week i asked my brother "so what is an omega, is that like a kennith cole watch?" hahaha my brother about pooped in his pants lol

I almost asked if i can get a bag instead, at least then i know what i want! lol

If you guys have any recommendations as of styles please let me know!!! We are going to go try some on in a few hours! I need all the help that i can get! lol

Hi....both have web sites, so you can look at styles. The Omega Constellations are classic, but the women's version is tiny.

Before you trot off to look at the sites....pls see if anyone has posted pix at our forum. Good luck! And if they're really considerate, they'll give time to consider. JMHO

I havea TAG and completely recommend it. In the 8 yrs I've had it I've only had to change the battery twice and it's still beautiful - no issues. When I chose it I also considered Omega's - either brand is fab!

Just came back from watch shopping and picked out the TAG HEUER CARRERA with diamond markers!!!!! i loveeeeeeee itttttt and love the in laws for getting it for our anniversary, DH got the matching guys version!!!! :)

That's what my DH wears, the TAG Carrera! Other guys ask him about it a lot, it's a great watch
