Gem rescuer!
Some of you know the hummingbird story with me. I stumbled across this gorgeous pendant on eBay:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/190682677710...84.m1497.l2649

Emeralds, citrines, blue topaz, and tourmalines. Isn't it just exquisite? I can't wait to get it!!!!

And yes, I have a new real hummie this year (I haven't seen any of the old crew from last year; they're supposed to return to the feeder site each year). Her name is Kallista("most beautiful" in Greek). I finished planting the hummingbird garden on June 5th, which was the first anniversary of Mom's death. The garden is in her memory.

You are going to love this necklace! I have it and have really enjoyed wearing it. It's substantial but not heavy, and it sparkles so much. I, too, have a thing for hummingbirds...so much that I got one as a tattoo in honor of my Dad. Some Native Americans believed that the hummingbird was the messenger of the soul; it makes me like them even more.

Have you purchased from this seller before and do you recommend this seller? This is probably not the thread for it (SORRY!!) but, I didn't want to create a new thread.

Thanks!

I just found out through another member that the stones are not as advertised, so, sadly, I will be returning this necklace. Even though it's a beautiful necklace, I don't like being deceived--and he's sold others, and may sell more. He also has coordinating butterfly ones, so I hope he'll be honest, and revise those auctions, too. I really wanted genuine tourmalines. The stones are Swarovski-coated topazes.

OY, so sorry this happened to you! Thanks for the heads up. What a hassle it is to re-package and send back

Please disregard my other post. I explained the problem to him; he got onto it FAST, and issued a full refund with an apology. He said they usually make their pieces, and this was 1 of the few they bought elsewhere, and they were told the stones were real. he said he would check into the issue about the stones.

If he has anything else I like, I would buy from him again.
