Hi...
How big are the watches? Something to consider if you want to wear it a while. If you're concerned with retaining value, then the Rolex seems to be the best bet. Do you have a lot of RT/rose gold jewelry. Do you were jewel tones? Rose gold is funny, but I don't always think of it as being timeless. You might to spring for a watch that is white or yellow gold. I like the rolex! It looks more feminine to me. I kind of agree with starbucksqueen about the rose gold... but if you love it go for it! :)

I like the Rolex much better, I'm not a fan of leather band watches. IMHO rose gold makes it a bit trendier, kind of the new thing in metal tones although it has always been around it seems like it has become more popular lately. I do like rose gold but in turns of long term I would go with yellow gold.

Have you considered a mechanical ladies watch from Patek Philippe? That will definitely hold its value. However, their mechanical watches often have exotic leather bands so I'm not sure if you like that. The great thing is you can always change colors.

^ Oops, sorry ... I thought you were a girl. So even better, the mechanical Patek watches for men are timeless, classics and will definitely hold their value.
If you're not into it, I vote then for the Rolex one. |

Do you take your watch off at the end of the day? If so they are both beautiful.
I have been wearing a Rolex for the last 15+ years and what I love about it is I shower, swim, and sleep with it. I only take it off for formal occassions. I love that I can live with it on and never take it off, that is why I dont like leather bands, I would forget it all the time! It has gotten to a point where I feel weird without it... |
