Question: I am considering an estate piece. Its a gold bracelet with no stones. is 66.7dwts a substantial weight? (pix are so hard to rely on)

it's nice! I don't know what dwts stands for in weight measurement though....

dwts stands for "pennyweight". One pennyweight is equal to 1.55 grams of gold, so this bracelet is approximately 104 grams of gold!!! That is one heavy piece of gold jewelry, and it is beautiful!

thanks for the information. i love etched gold (not sure what the technical name for this type of work is) and Buccellati is either overly ornate/too dressy not to mention expensive

I personally think it is different enough and definitely not chintzy .I love it and would definitely enjoy wearing it.
If you are unsure ask the seller to send you a pic of them wearing it.

Definitely different enough. I think it's a great find. And, it's about the same weight as the larger Schlumberger enamel bangles.

If it were me, and the price was right, I'd go for it!
