Round is my favorite because it has the most sparkle per carat. Also it has a good face-up spread -- for example a well cut 1 carat round will look bigger than a well cut 1 carat princess cut.

I have an oval coloured stone,and a round diamond.I love asscher,but i think it look too little.I think that an upgrade can be another round or a pear.

I agree! I was comparing sizes of a 1ct and round is the biggest =P

I have a princess set east-west. When we got engaged 14(!) years ago, princess cuts were fairly uncommon, it took the jeweler quite a while to get in a selection for us to choose from.

Now they are so popular...I guess I am a trend-setter
