I have a beautiful pair of Mikimoto studs, but they have a small diamond attached to each stud and I really use them more for dress than every day work wear.
I was looking online at the Tiffany website and saw that they have 6-6.5mm for 275 and one size up for 325. I am a smaller person - 5'1 and about 110 pounds - so I figured that the first size would be fine. Are these good quality? Should I just stick with Mikimoto and get a pair of plain studs? Thanks so much!! |

okay, I guess you can't make product suggestions with links to the product? Anyway, I don't have Tiffany studs, but I have a LOVELY pair of freshadama earrings. They rival the best hanadama akoyas and are MUCH cheaper. If you're not concerned about them being a name brand, I'd go for those over a name brand any day!

Plain pearls might be easier to wear everyday, but if you dress up for work the ones you have might already be perfect.
I have three holes in each ear, so I LOVE my plain pearls since I can set them back a hole. :) Also, without the diamond you can pair them with jeans and a sweater and it's casual but still classy |

I have the Mikimoto pearl studs with a small diamond attached. I wear them everyday. The diamond is small and I think it adds to the plain simple pearl. I don't think it's too dressy to wear everyday. I love mine.

Thanks, everyone. I am going to have to take a look at the ones I own already. I love the idea of starting to wear them in the warmer weather but since I've only worn them for dress, need to think about it. I thought I might get a pair of plain ones just to wear around. But - since some of you own the same ones and get a lot of use out of them, I'm going to give it a whirl.

I have a pair of Tiffany studs and also a pair of grey Tahitian studs that I got from a local jewelry store (which is still high end) that was about 1/3 the price of the Tiffany pair I was looking at. Honestly I couldn't visually tell a difference between the two. Now that I have the larger Tahitian studs I think I want a larger pair of pearl studs for everyday wear. I think Mikimoto pearls are very nice. I think one difference might be in the undertone of the pearls, my Tiffany ones are rather pink, but some pearls have a yellow or grey cast.
