Default Thoughts on jewelry from ex-bfs
Simple question: do you still wear them?

Do you keep them for the sake of it or just sell? Just curious.

I still have my jewelry from my ex but they don't hold any sentimental value...I just haven't taken the time or energy to sell them.
He had horrible, tacky taste so #1, I didn't like wearing them even when we were together and #2, I am not sure anyone would want to buy them if I tried to sell them.

I think it depends on the item in question. I don't see anything wrong with wearing a nice pair of earrings or a watch again....but I would definitely not wear something like a promise ring or anything heart-shaped from an ex!

I don't have anything left from my ex, I didn't have much since we were pretty young, but I wouldn't have a problem wearing something that was nice! Funny story though...my ex and I were engaged for 1 month, lol...I was 18 and he was 19. He bought me a little diamond chip, and I was totally fine with that because I "loved" him. When we broke up, I asked him if he wanted it back and he said that I should keep it, even though I told him that I did not want it. So I took it back to the store he purchased it from, but without a receipt they gave me a store credit. I bought a "boom box", LMAO! He found out about it and was sooo mad! It was sweet revenge in my eyes, since I later found out that he cheated on me!

it totally depends, one of my good friends had a sugar daddy...he bought her exquisite things. my favorite are her south sea pearls and her diamond stud earrings, simply amazing!

i see her wearing those sometimes, even around her husband. he is probably thrilled that someone else bought her a bunch of expensive stuff, so he doesn't have to.

if it was a sentimental piece...like engagement ring...return it or sell it! but if it is great jewelry...no reason not to wear it.

I have a bunch, but now that I'm engaged I'm going to sell it. Mine is really nice (I even picked almost all of it out) but I just don't feel like being reminded of my ex. Besides my fiance totally spoils me with jewelry!

I've never received jewerlry from an ex. I am picky and they know it, I guess. I'd give it back though. I've always given back every gift during a break up. I don't like being reminded of the person.

I usually give it all back..especially if it's expensive. There was an ex that gave me a diamond ring...I gave that back. He also gave me a USD 300 necklace...I wanted to give it back but he insisted that I keep it. I never wore it again and it got stolen. I never wear jewelery from old BFs.
