Default Suggestions for a diamond pendant necklace?? Budget >9,000
I'm looking to buy a nice diamond necklace which can be worn casual or formal. My current considerations are:

Tiffany heart pendant necklace-> 8975

Cartier heart pendant necklace-> 17,000

Do you have any good suggestions? Pictures are more welcome!

Well, I guess you're looking for a designer brand AND make it a classic so the brand is easily recognizable but not heavily "copied" at the same time?

how about this one

Elsa peretti open heart pave necklace.

Thanks Mininana! You totally read my mind! Thanks for the recommendations too! Actually I compared the the open heart design with the other heart design from Tiffany, and kinda like the other one better as it has bigger diamonds. :P

Gabz, what is dbty?

I was going to suggest diamonds by the yard, but it's a "copied" style and I wouldn't pay $6500 or so (actually about $6300 plus tax) for a white gold/platinum chain with little diamonds all over that can widely be "replicated".

dechnse, u know what, for the money I'd get a nice ring and a more simple necklace but that's just me. :)

Or have you considered LV jewelry? some pieces are just GORGEOUS and so unique!!!!

I'd get this one with diamonds. I cannot see it on the USA site but they should have IN STORE if you request it.

The FRENCH site shows as this one for

770 euros in YELLOW GOLD
820 euros WHITE GOLD
2140 euros PAVE YELLOW GOLD
2190 euros PAVE WHITE GOLD (which is the one I plan to get when I go paris next week)

Euro to dollar is about 1.40 ratio but I'd do 1.50 since stuff in USA is more expensive than in france. :)

Mininana, I already have a nice ring and I love it. Another thing is that my hands are not pretty. So I don't really buy a lot of rings. However, you are right. I don't have to buy a Tiffany necklace. I just don't know if non-designer jeweleries would have same quality. That will need some time to search for it.

risingsun, thanks for the recommendation. It's a gorgeous piece. I like hears on fire! The style is very formal though. I doubt it can be worn everyday.

:) well dechnse, I gotta say I own a couple tiffany gold pieces and they are VERY good. I chose tiffany over BVLGARI but that's just me, I prefer daintier stuff.

Now, if you already have a ring, then a good necklace and perhaps earrings?

To be honest, you can get plenty SUPER NICE necklaces for under $5k and then u can use the rest money towards a nice pair of diamond studs, or perhaps another necklace

Have you checked BVLGARI? they have some really nice pieces. Cartier does too, and so does MONT BLANC. All well known brands.

Now if you decide to go the NON BRAND route then I suggest u get the largest diamond possible and you can always make it a halo (little diamonds surrounding it) for it to give it that extra sparkle.

I still like you going the designer route though.

I like this personally but it may not have enough diamonds for you.

I also like this one but not sure if you like pink gold?

this one is pricier and white gold

do you like lariat style?

Either way, all these necklaces are way under $9k

so I'd pair them up with earrings
