i like to leave a few fave pieces (tiff silver necklace and earings, white gold diamond pendant, etc) just out in the top tray of my velvet lined box. is this bad for them if they arent in their actual boxes?

For Tiffany sterling pieces, they will stay tarnish-free longer if they are stored in their blue pouches.

I have quite a few Tiffany silver pieces and, for me, leaving them in their original boxes is too much clutter. I have them in an anti-tarnish jewellry box and it works beautifully. They don't tarnish and look just as nice as when I put them in there.
