Source for long 18k yellow ball chain necklace for charms
Hi All,
I have searched the web, asked friends and looked at books and books of Jewelry in vain to find a long (20" +) 18k yellow gold ball chain necklace. It goes by so many names: ball chain, bead chain, combat chain, dog tag chain. I almost thought I found it a couple of times. Tiffany's has one, but it is teeny tiny, not at all like the ones thy have in silver . I am looking for 3mm width. Tous has one that is 2.2mm, but it is only 40cm (15.7"), so I would have to get it lengthened and that only seems to be possible if I get one in Spain. I also would rather not pay for a 'name' necklace as I just want a generic ball chain necklace. I have had no problems finding them in 14k, but again, I want 18k. Anyone have a good source? I will appreciate any and all help. Thanks! |

You also might try a local non-chain jewelry store with a bench jeweler. They can sometimes special order items like that from a jewelry supplier like Rio Grande.
