Default So sad....
Well, my blue diamond ring is officially gone. I have looked EVERYWHERE. It was a 3 diamond ring with a larger blue diamond in the center and a white diamond on each side. One of the white diamonds had fallen out, so I put in into a zip lock bag until I could get it to the jeweler I bought it from. I'm heart broken
To make things worse, I also lost another one of my favorite rings a few weeks ago. It was a platinum band with white diamonds all the way around it. When it rains, it pours...

An addendum to my previous post (got distracted and hit too soon. and had some tea) I am very sorry that you lost your rings. There's nothing worse than losing a beloved piece. Maybe you will at least find one of them... I remember literally tearing everything apart--even when it made no sense. Sometimes you find things when you no longer worry and search. Or it could be that you find one that looks similiar.
All the best

i am so sorry. I thought i lost something for over a year and then randomly found it when I wasnt looking for it. Hopefully it will turn up when you least expect it. Any chance your SO took it to the jewelers to get it fixed as a surprise?

Sorry again.

So sorry to hear that vhdos, I really hope you find it.
I once lost a rather expensive necklace on a trip away, I was absolutely heartbroken as I loved it so much Thankfully I'd insured it.

Thanks everyone for your kind words. I know it's only material things and I try not to get too caught up in in but it just seems like such a waste. I have a horrible feeling that I may have actually thrown my blue diamond in the trash. I cleaned out my bathroom cabinets and drawers a couple of months ago. The ring was in a tiny zip lock bag and I'm pretty sure it was in the cabinet. I keep thinking that maybe it got mixed in with some things that ended up getting thrown out. Ouch. We have a homeowners insurance policy but we never added anything extra for our jewelry, handbags, etc. Not very smart but lesson learned I guess.

that is the WORST! I'm so sorry. lots of hopeful thoughts that you find it.

I lost a pair of sapphire earrings...twice. the first time for a year, & the second for about 6 months. I force myself to put jewelry away immediately (into my jewelry box, but it sounds like that wasn't your problem). there's always hope.

That's so sad. It doesn't matter how much you tell yourself not to worry so much about material possessions, fact is, some things are truly special and losing them hurts.

I hope you find it and don't lose hope. Sometimes jewellery turns up in the darndest places!
