Hi guys,
Another question, I am considering selling a diamond bracelet on ebay but I only have 13 feedback and have never sold any jewelry. Do I try or do it through a 3rd party seller? Also what % off the appraised value do you start the bidding? Buy it now, best offer, low starting w/ reserve? What info is crucial to include in the listing? Offer return policy based on appraisal? Or none at all, seems risky due to bait and switch. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, TIA |

I have sold jewelry on ebay, and I have a no refund policy. You should list the price that you paid originally, the type of metal (10K, 14K, Plat...), and any information that you may have on the diamonds (carat weight, clarity, color...). I don't think that you need to go through a third party seller, try it yourself! Good luck!

I sell jewelry on ebay all the time. You never even get 1/2 of what you would buy it at retail except for certain vintage or designer pieces. Most of the stuff I sell came from ebay in the first place, so I usually just get my money back when I'm sick of it. Make it a seven day auction that starts on a weekend and take a bunch of pictures in the best possible light. Good luck!

I sell jewelry on ebay frequently, but I agree iwth the poster above me, it's hard to make decent $ because people aren't willing to pay as much for a piece through there. It's especially hard when you have less than 50 feedback to gain people's trust.

Thanks lv rawks and suzi,
I am going to give it a whirl, probably next weekend, what do you think is the best time for an auction to end, am, afternoon or evening, I'm central time? P.s lv rawks: that's a hell of a purse ban 2008! |

LOL, I know! I think that I will be ok though...as of right now, there is nothing that I really want too bad.
Good luck selling...you could also try here: DiamondRing.com. They have a jewelry classified section and it does not cost you anything. |
