Hi there!
I came across this info and thought it was interesting so wanted to share it with you all! I was just curious if more people wore their right hand ring on their middle fingers or on their ring fingers, generally speaking. But I also know that it really depends on the ring style sometimes they sit better on the middle finger as oppose to the ring finger and vise versa. But anyways, I came across this info and thought it was interesting enough to share. I had no idea that wearing rings on different fingers meant different things! Who knew right!?!! So here it is! The Thumb: This finger represents willpower. Wearing rings on the thumb symbolize freedom and independence of thought and action. The Forefinger: This finger represents authority and ambition. Wearing rings on this finger symbolize leadership, power, and ambition. The Middle Finger: This finger represents identity & materialism. Wearing rings on this finger symbolize that we are well balanced in our lives, but still love the attention. The Ring Finger: This finger represents emotion & creativity. Wearing rings on this finger it symbolize self worth and a commitment to one’s personal skills and talents. The Pinky: This finger represents relationships. Wearing rings on this finger symbolize confidence and independence in personal and business relationships. |

Interesting! I somehow can't bring myself to wear rings anywhere but on my ring finger. I've been trying to ease myself into wearing one on my middle finger, but it just feels so strange! Guess I'm unbalanced and don't love attention

That is interesting! I have been making a lot of rings lately, and trying out wearing different ones on different fingers. I mostly wear rings on my ring fingers, but I have one ruby ring I made that I love to wear on my right first finger! I have a hard time wearing pinky rings, though. Hmmm.

Interesting read, thanx for sharing.
I wear 3 rings in total, one on each middle finger and the other on my forefinger on right hand. |

Oh wow, that's interesting! I've worn rings on all of my fingers depending on where they best fit, but for the last couple of years I've only worn my diamond star ring on my ring finger.
The only time I do anything differently, I wear my LV Inclusion rings on my index (forefinger) finger. |

Ooo.. may I add ?
Why was a particular finger called the ring finger? There was an ancient belief that a very vital blood vessel ran from the ring finger on the left hand directly to the heart. It was therefore thought appropriate, that a ring that symbolized true love should be worn on the ring finger. The vein was given the name 'vena amori' meaning 'the vein of love'. The Egyptians and Romans believed that, the wedding ring which symbolized eternal love would best be worn on the ring finger of the left hand. As medical science developed, it became apparent that the ancient belief was wrong and there was really no 'vein of love' that ran from the ring finger on the left hand to the heart! However, the practice of referring to that particular finger as the ring finger has continued to this day. |
