Default Ring finger size changes!
Hey everyone I was wondering if anyone else has this problem, sometimes my E-ring is really tight on me (at certain times of the day or when I drink!) And sometimes it is so loose that I fear it's going to fall off- aka swimming and when I'm cold! Am I a freak or is this a common problem? If so what do you do to keep the ring on and make sure you don't loose it- any secrets? Thanks!

My secret . . . is I have big knuckles :) They don't change in size so I dont' have to worry about rings falling off.

No, don't feel bad at all, I'm the same way.
In the winter, my fingers are at their smallest and I can wear even teeny rings I wore in middle school.
But in the summer time, my fingers swell and I can only wear a couple of my rings...right now I'm even able to wear one of my LV Inclusion rings that was too big when I got it a few months ago lol.

But I think a lot of people have this same problem, it has to do with your water retention.

I have the same problem. When the temperature is cold, my ring is loose and turns. When warm or hot, it's actually the perfect fit, which is the reason I opted for size 4 versus size 3.75. I had to fight with my jeweler to make my ring size in 4. Also, during my monthly thingy and if I get too much salt, the ring is tighter.

It's normal for your fingers to swell/constrict based on temperature, hormones, salt intake, or weight gain/loss. As someone else posted, my knuckles are big so the rings don't slide off. I would not think that the size would vary enough that you would lose a ring that way, usually they just spin around on the finger. But, if you are in doubt, get some of those ring adhesive strips from Wal Mart that make a ring tighter.

I have almost lost my e-ring once when I was in the bathroom (dry hands) and it fell streight into the basin's drain because my fingers were cold and constricted. It is slightly loose anyway but the cold weather made it worse.

It happens when the weather changes for me. If it's hot my fingers swell a little and my rings are tighter. And in the cooler months they shrink and everything's looser.

^yes for me too. My engagement rings were abit loose when my fiance proposed but now, the weather is changing it gets tighter.
I take it off when i'm going for a swim. Sometimes i feel i'm about to have a heart attack when i'm washing my hands and drying them. Afraid i lost them hihi

Me too...My fingers get swollen in hot weather and when I was pregnant... and in winter they tend to get smaller so I also use the adhesive strips or wrap scotch-tape around the ring

This happens to me, too. I have a few rings that I can only wear when my fingers are less swollen, and others for my "fat finger" days. Super annoying!

You should get a smaller thin band to wear on the colder/ swimming days so you wont lose the ering.

Normally your fingers are smaller when you first get up or in colder days.
