Default recommend me a wedding band ...
hey gals - i just got engaged a few weeks ago (yippeee!) and am now on the hunt for a wedding ring. Ive got a while to go but i just cant seem to find piccys of my ideal one.
Here's a piccy of my e-ring.

http://s214.photobucket.com/albums/c...&current=2.jpg

What i think i'd like is a ultra fine, micro-pave diamond band that sits just behind my e-ring but i cant find any pics ... does anyone have anything that looks remotely like what im describing?

I love the simplicity of my e-ring but i also love the idea of the glittery/shimmer that comes from micro pave ....

thoughts?

Personally because your band is thick I think a matching band width would look killer!! Plus waaaay more bling that way!! I have a really thing band, it kind of sits back and just lets my solitaire shine so when I get my wedding band I want a matching dainty band similar to the ones shown above but even more dainty!! But I agree with you I would want mine to be even more finer, to look just like a sea of diamonds!! Like diamonds back to back, very little gold to be seen!!

I can see what you mean by too much "ring". And I feel like that about some stuff too, but I still always get a matching width of a band. I don't know why. Personally I think it looks better, it looks like it matches more IMHO. Like some wedding sets have no gap because they were bought as a set. Other sets were bought separate so they do have a gap. And some people have told me they like no gap because it makes it seem more matching, like the two rings belong together. Others say they don't mind the gap, others say they like the gap. It's everyone's own opinion. But all that matters is what YOU want. I haven't gotten a band yet, but because my engagement ring has a really thin dainty band it's been sooo hard for me to find a matching one for myself. I think I'm going to have to have it made because personally I want my width of my band to match.

MjLover, I think you're right that a band of the same thickness would be a lot of ring. Bluenile has a micropave band in white gold, LaurenKlein.com has lots of micropave as well, and so does Tiffany's. LK would probably be least expensive, Bluenile in the middle. I think a channel-set band with princess cut diamonds would be pretty, too- it would match your princess cut stone, add some bling, and be in keeping with the modern style of your ring. Good luck!

You could see about a fish-tail pave band. Those would be finer and the stones would be more secure.

My idea was something like this, only with smaller stones, and probably only halfway around.

I agree, i think that would look nice. What about two thinner pave bands as guard rings?

I really recommend BlueNile. That's where my wedding band is from, and I just adore it.

I hope this link works for you:

Before you order anything, go to a jewelry store and try on a bunch of rings with your engagement ring. My wedding ring is TOTALLY different from what I pictured in my mind (and would have purchased online). As it turned out, the rings I had looked at online did not look that great with my engagement ring - you want them to compliment each other perfectly!
