Hi everyone,
I joined TPF for the sole purpose of reading all the great VCA posts!! The Alhambra line is my object of desire, and I hope that soon I might own one of these beautiful pieces. I have a question that I hope someone can help me with. Does the Sweet Alhambra clover pendant have a length of chain attached on either side, OR is there a bale, where the pendant just hangs from the chain? I thought that the Magic (one motif) necklace had the chain attached, and the Sweet collection pendants did not. Does anyone know if the designs were changed at some point? Thanks in advance if anyone knows the answer. I actually prefer the attached chains, for some reason, to me, it has a more "finished" look, but of course, I love the Alhambra line so much, that *everything* is beautiful! |

My sweet Alhambra pendant is attached by a bale and moves freely all over the chain. My Vintage Alhambra pendant is attached by chains on both sides and cannot move along the length of chain. I am not sure if the design was changed... |

Thanks! I think I meant to type "Vintage" instead of "Magic." This helps. I'm guessing that the length of the Sweet Collection chain is about 16 inches. The Vintage appears to be longer, so I'm thinking 18' or 20'.

Hi there!
Okay the "vintage" collection kind of refers to the "normal" sized clover, the one that is on all of the "station" necklaces etc. That one is fixed to the chain - it doesn't move around. The "sweet" line is a much smaller clover, and it is on a little hoop that moves freely on the chain. The "magic" pendant is the largest motif (clover) - you can see some modeling examples of all of these in the VCA Support Group thread! :) The "magic" pendant is also fixed permanently to the chain. Hope that helps! (ps the sweet are the least expensive... then the "vintage alhambra" ... then the "magic".) |

Thanks! I think I'll go with the vintage, for my first piece. Although, the sweet ID bracelet is very cute. I loved looking at the photos, they're very helpful. The VCA website is great, but you don't get any sense of the size of the pieces.

Good choice! The sweet ARE sweet for sure, but quite tiny in real life. What colour are you going to get?

I too love the Alhambra vintage collection. I currently have the earrings and bracelet in black onyx, yellow gold. Every time I wear a piece, I get many compliments. These are my favorite jewelry purchases of all time (and that's saying something, since I'm no stranger to jewelry!).
I am contemplating a purchase of the ring (also black onyx, YG) and the watch (on satin strap, no diamonds). Does anyone have an idea what the price range is for these items? Also, does VCA sell additional straps (I'm worried about the original getting worn out). Thanks for any info you can provide. My closest VCA store is quite far away so I want to make sure I have my ducks in a row before embarking on the trek. |
