I recently discovered a vintage women's Gucci watch in my mom's closet. The face is a little scratched and it no longer runs. The hands are stuck between about 9:40 and 9:55 (tear :( ). I was wondering if anyone's had any experiences with... stubborn watches before. I need to take it in anyway to get some links removed.
Other than that it's beautiful! I'll post some modeling pics later. I love the way it looks. |

Do you mean the crystal is scratched or the bezel? If it's the bezel, it can be buffed out easily. If it's the crystal, you'll have to get it replaced. If it no longer runs, a new battery is $5-$10. If a battery is dead for too long, however, it can leak and ruin the watch beyond repair.

I'm not sure how long the battery's been dead for but there's nothing coming out of the back. The crystal is not too deeply scratched (lots of feathering) but my main concern is that the hands won't go past a certain time.
