I'd probably just say "this is a x thousand dollar bracelet and it comes with the implication that the service I would receive after buying it would be unrivaled and that the piece would be free of defects. Instead, this company knowingly sold me defective wares and at a premium! So I want a refund immediately."
I am so sorry you are having all this trouble, I agree you should demand a refund, really at the prices they sell their jewelry at one would expect great after sales service!!

^^I agree I would say what Ame said! I know its hard because you don't want to give up on the love bangle entirely, but I would return it in fear of this happening again or returning it completely and buying it from a better store. Maybe a Cartier in a Neiman Marcus.

I am thinking about buying a Love bangle but now I dont know anymore. I dont live close to a Cartier boutique so I would have to buy it when I travel abroad. I guess if I have a quality issue with the screws I will be stuck with it and Cartier wont help me :(
I guess I better buy a preowned with the old screws.

Thanks everyone. I just now spoke with a nice SA in the store and at least have her empathy. She is going to pass the info again to her SM that I would like a refund or a brand new one.
I still can not believe I can not get a hold of Cartier corporate. I am going to nyc for a few days. Maybe I can ask there. This is really bothering me. It is my anniversary weekend and I am worrying about my bracelet .
They need to refund me , or give me an old screw system. I do NOT want my bracelet "fixed". I also spoke to her and told her how the other SA said I may have to pay and he was wrong. It is shame that some people offer bad customer service.
I just wanted to chime in how timely this thread is for me. I HATE the new screw system. My WG one is the old screw system and I almost never have to tighten it. I got my RG one over a year ago and it constantly comes loose, almost within 24 hours. Finally this past February I went in for about the fifth time and they add this "glue" to it to make the screws hold. That has worked well until this past weekend when I was walking down the street and noticed the RG was coming off my wrist! So now I have to go back to the boutique and I think this time have them send it to NY to get it fixed rather than just put the "glue" on it. It is soooo frustrating to spend so much money and constantly worry about losing the bracelet. Good luck with getting yours fixed! Keep us posted on how it goes.
Perhaps new screw system is not meant to be worn everyday. I love the new system because I like taking it off every night. I have noticed that I can unscrew it with my nails so that's something to consider however I never tighten it super tight.
I wish this bracelet had a hinge system instead like Hermes clic clac.
Perhaps they'll refund you and you can look for the old screw on eBay.
