Not sure if they will give out the boxes. If you get something cleaned you will get all new dust bags. If you are a TR it's free. They always put my stuff in the bags, which is almost overkill sometimes. I have a million of the sitting around now!!
What is TR ?
Do you have to ask for the new dustbags when you get a cleaning or do they automatically package it ?
i also have a question on this as well, is it rude to ask the SA for a black velvet box instead of the pouch when i buy something?
(sorry, im not trying to hijack your thread here, just an additional question :)
A lot of the time, jewellery companies aren't allowed to give out boxes because so many people used them to package fakes. If you have a good relationship with a SA you might be able to persuade them to give you one.
Both my YG necklace and ring came with the blue suede box, the signature Tiffany box and pouch. Meanwhile, my silver necklace only came with the Tiffany signature box and pouch :) I haven't tried asking for an extra box though.
Original Tiffany blue dust bags? Is the cleaning for free and same day pick up? Thanks
It depends, if you are not a regular client but have higher end pieces, they will still clean it for free and put it in the dust bag. I've had items cleaned within the same day but by my request - they were pretty good at working with what I asked for.
How do you become a Tiffany's registered customer?
I read on this forum before that you need to spend above 10k usd per year to become one, but im not sure how they register this. because my friend has spent over 60k euro this year on t&co stuff, but she's not a preferred customer or any other kind of special treatment.
Company policy is that they will not give out the blue boxes for any reason. They had an advertising campaign a while ago that the "a blue box is one thing that you can never buy but will be given to you with every purchase"
Customer service will give sleeper bags after they service (either clean or repair) an item. It's free cleaning and checking for 18K and platinum pieces - $5-$25 for sterling jewelry. However, replacement earring backs for platinum is going to run you $75 per back
The velvet boxes are only for 18K gold and platinum. If you buy an item in the gold salon or back room, it comes in a velvet box. Otherwise, no go.
