I am looking at these and am curious what others think -- Love the Tiffany one but still expensive (2500); local jewelry has HOF....nice; nothing too large....looked also on Signed Pieces....it said it takes 2-3 weeks though? Any thoughts/opinions? Thanks!

Hi, shoes, just saw your post...
I was looking at Tiffany's site online and the two prong set diamond crosses are really beautiful. Of course, my wallet liked the $2500 better than the $8500 but I suspect the smaller one IS just as pretty if not as large. There was a bezel set cross I liked bu that I'd need to see in person, I think. The thing about the Tiffany pendants is that I prefer more substantial chains. With those delicate chains they use, I don't feel they are as substantial as I'd like and I have to end up buying a differerent one. You mentioned HOF....I love HOF! I realize they are branded and more expensive, but, I have two of these diamonds and they sparkle and have the best white light return of any diamonds I've ever had, including my Lazare Kaplan Ideal Cut which was supposed to be among the best...... at least of it's time. I've dealt with Signed Pieces once and had a good experience if you're thinking of looking in that direction. You have such pretty things.....good luck on whatever you decide! |

i had the hardest time finding a cross i loved that didn't cost a lot of money (defeats the purpose imho)....i finally found one on ebay that was the right size (less than 3/4 of an inch) and price. it's not the best quality diamonds but it is pretty and i've gotten lots of compliments. more importantly it was the daintiest/right price point (and came with a really great chain....with the price of gold what it is i actually feel like i bought the chain and got the pendant almost free). i sifted through many many many different styles before i found it. maybe look there if you're feeling brave.
(and if you want the seller, you can pm me....but it sounds like you want better quality diamonds)there's one at my local costco right now that i LOVE (it's just too big for me -- maybe about an inch?) very white and sparkely. maybe check there? i loved the tiffany one but the price tag was painful.....the paloma picasso tender heart one with diamond accents was a little less painful and very pretty. did you try whiteflash.com? they do great custom pieces and you could get whatever you wanted. |

I have the tiffany's large & small cross & very happy with them. The small cross (G/H, VS) definitely looks whiter than the large cross (F, VS), which looks colorless. I think the small cross is too small & the large cross is too big.
Wish there is something in between. Someone in here (don't remember who) told me that they got the Signed Pieces cross & the diamond are icy white!! The signed piece website said that it's F-G & VVS-VS quality diamond!!! If I haven't got my Tiffany's, I will definitely buy from Signed piece. I wouldn't buy the cross from Bluenile as the diamond quality is not good (I, SI2) (according to what the website said) I have attached pictures of my Tiffany cross. I am wearing the small cross. Hope this helps! Let us know what you have decided. |
