Question Just curious....ering and band on separate hands?
Just wondering how many of you wear your ering and wedding band on separate hands?

I have a white gold, art-deco ering with lots of pave that I wear on my left hand. No matching band came with it and honestly, I don't want a custom one. There's too much detail that even a custom made band would cover it up.

When we married, my mother in law passed on to me a yellow gold and diamond wedding band. You see, my husband is Greek and in the Greek culture, the wedding band is worn on the right hand.

I've been thinking about wearing that yellow gold band on my right hand, but it's a totally different metal and style than my e-ring.

Would that be weird to do?

Anyone else have a similar situation? If so, would you please attach pics?

Thanks!

I don't have that situation, but I think it is just fine! Culture is important, no matter where you currently live.

Though you might get tired of explaining it, should people be nosey enough to ask!

I wear my wedding band on my left and my e-ring on my right - my e-ring is pretty big and detailed and not stackable (actually my wedding band isn't stackable either) and I want to wear both of them, so separate hands it is!

I wear both my wedding band and my engagement ring on my left hand. I am Greek and so is DH. We only wore our wedding rings on our right hands the day we got married. Then we switched them to our left hands.

I live in Greece and have never seen anyone wear the wedding band on their right hand. The only wear the wedding band on their right hand if they are engaged. I think maybe at the church it might be put on the right hand first. Since I am getting married this summer in Athens and I meeting with the priest after Orthodox Easter I can let you know.

For me personally I will be wearing my e-ring on my right ring finger and my Wedding band on my left ring finger since I don't want them to compete with each other.

For those of you who wear your rings on the same hand, do the rings rub together causing scratching and damage?

It really depends upon the design of the rings. You might want to ask your jeweler to check this out for you.
