Default JTV (Jewelry Television)
Okay, so I ordered two pieces from Jewelry television's online website. I was wondering if anyone else has ordered from them and what did they think about their pieces. I think JTV can probably getting a little addicting because of the great prices. LOL!

I've heard bad things about JTV, so I stay away from them. But if you like the pieces that's great and if you don't, then you can always return it right?

I'm 0 for 3 with them. The things look great on tv, but not so great when you get them, at least that's my experience. I hope you like what you get, though!

I haven't had great luck with them either. I ordered a couple rings and the quality was really poor. My girlfriend loves them though and has gotten many pieces from them. The good news is that you can always return!

Yikes! bad things like...Yes, I saw that you can return their pieces. They do look nice on television though. I am nervous now since the feedback isn't very good. I guess I'll wait and see. So do you all have the same experience with other jewelry television programs? HSN, QVC, GemsTV. I have never ordered from any jewelry television program before.

I've heard what other people are saying: the product looks good in TV under studio lighting, but not when you get it home.

All of the jewelry TV channels sell hundreds of different brands, if not thousands. What you need to look for is positive reviews for specific lines, not the shopping channel itself.

^^ great advice. I see what you are saying. Well, luckily the feedback on both items that I bought was very good. Hopefully, the items will look good when I get soon.

Good luck! My husband saw the Bella Luce set up at the Mall of America and said their pieces were very pretty and sparkly.

Our favorite past time is watching Jewelry TV and ShopNBC when they do jewelry. Whether the pieces are horrifically ugly (we saw a hilarious fish ring last night) or gorgeous, we love it. We also like to comment on the hosts, especially when they're struggling to talk about one of the uglier pieces (the fish ring presentation went on forever... that poor host!).

Some of the hosts do annoy me though, especially one of the ladie on JTV. She always sounds like she is yelling. She also sounds very fake with her excitement of each new pice. It is rather comical. I would have loved to see the host that you were talking about present the fish ring. LOL!

It seems like JTV is like the lower class version of ShopNBC. Many of the hosts seem unprofessional, there's a lot of pauses and confusion, and the acoustics for the set is horrible. Their stupid spinning tray makes me nauseous too. ShopNBC may have some horrible jewelry, but their hosts are damn good at selling it for the most part.

Our favorite quote from a ShopNBC host: "Topaz is NOW considered a precious stone! ...in Europe."

Here's the link to the fish ring. Unfortunately the video they have on the site is from the seller and a different host. They actually sound believable. The other host was literally like a fish gasping for air (pun intended) trying to find some sort of good qualities about the thing.

I have a pair of silver earrings from there and they are nice. My mom had a ruby ring that was not expensive, maybe $100, but it was not durable. She lost a stone in no time flat.

As to other channels, QVC is nice quality on anything I've ordered. I've ordered freshwater pearls, their simulated diamond- Diamonique (great stuff, looks nice and if you lose earrings like I do, quite smart) and gemstones. HSN is hit or miss. There is an outlet store near my parents and I've bought a blue topaz ring that was really nice for a great price. Some things aren't very well made or have flimsy settings. You have to be careful, I guess. If the price is too good, it probably is. GemsTV is not so hot, my mom ordered something once I think. I find their prices inflated as well. It is a guilty pleasure to watch the channels though...

okay, that fish ring definitely is one to take the cake for ugly! LOL! That is horrible. I would never wear that ring if you paid me. THanks for sharing the link with me.
