ok...i might being going a lil insane here...
esp. since the economy is crap and i really cannot afford to buy a 5k watch!!! but i'm thinking maybe it isnt THAT bad (w/ the whole EGC n tax free buying from NYC n all)...so... i have a question: what do i do if the watch i get from NY Saks (i'm in LA) is too big for me? Would Saks adjust them for me or do i have to go to Chanel? Can a local watch store at a mall adjust them as well? and another: would it look cheesy if i get a j12 that has no diamonds? how much more is it to get ones w/ diamonds? anybody know a really cool SA in NY Saks? THANKS IN ADVANCE PEOPLE!!! LUV THIS PLACE!!!! |

As I'm sure everyone knows here, I've been obsessed with J12 since July. Personally I wouldn't go to the mall to have links removed. I think it is safer to have an authorized Chanel jeweler do it in case of problem. I would guess that if you show receipt to a Chanel store near you, they would happily size it. Also, IMO, I like the white with no diamonds but I prefer the black with diamond markers. I have been trying them on constantly and decided on 33 mm black with diamond markers. The diamonds cost around $750 more depending on what size watch - 33 or 38. Hope this helped you.

If you live in LA you can take it back to the Saks in Bev Hills. They can adjust the links for you. I wouldn't take it to any mall.
I have a 33mm without diamonds and prefer it without. The numbers really pop. Getting diamonds is about $1000 more. Not worth it consider how tiny they are. I thought its tax free only if there isn't a Saks where you live and have it shipped. |

I have the 33mm black w/diamond markers - I bought it for xmas two years ago. I consider myself lucky that I was able to get it for $4K (SA at NM gave me 10% off).
Now I do want a white one, and am considering the 38mm size for it - however, with the price increases I am pretty sure I will not be getting one w/diamonds. I don't think that no diamonds takes away from the watch at all. Plus - the quality is great - I have worn mine every day since I got it, it has been in water doing dishes, banged around into walls, bitten by my dog, slobbered on by dogs, dropped on the floor - etc etc etc - the watch has NO NO NO scratches at all. These things are amazing - and it is still ticking - I couldn't be happier - and do think they are worth the money (to a point, lol). |

i think i prefer the 33mm just cuz it wont look ginormous on my pathetic tiny wrist...i have tiny bones...(just too much meat) haha... and diamonds will have to wait until i hit the jackpot... anyways, hopefully i can make a decision before this EGC event is over this sunday.... (>_<) thank you~ |

You can take your J12 to ANY Chanel boutiques they will adjust/remove any of your links, even if you purchased your watch from Saks or Neimas etc., I would not take my J12 to any jewelry place.
