Default is this a good deal?

so i was at the mall earlier and saw that helzberg diamonds is having a going out of business sale.

I looked around and found a pair of 0.5 ctw, 14k round studs. The SA offered it for $525 after tax. The thing is, I'm pretty clueless about diamonds so I'm not really sure if that's a good deal or not. The diamonds are color E-F and clarity is I2 (I think..)

They looked pretty good, but I just want to be sure. Any input is much appreciated!

I2 is very low quality. Some would even consider it industrial grade.
However, do they sparkle? Can you see any inclusions? Does it look like frozen spit?
If you think they look good, then 525 is a decent price.

oOo. I think you got lucky before or they've changed their strategy since. I just talked to a live-chat SA and here's what she said

Sarah S.: All of our diamond solitaire earrings have been hand matched for color and sparkle and will be I1-I2 in clarity
Sarah S.: We go with this because these are fashion items and are worn more for their sparkle and aren't under as much scrutiny as an engagement ring

what do you ladies think? also, with earrings, is clarity more important that color then?
