Question If you received $1,000 ....
If someone handed you $1,000 to put towards a jewelry, handbag, or clothing purchase, what would you buy? I'd probably get a necklace but don't know a specific one!

Oh, I don't know VuittonsLover... There are some nice Tiffany pieces that won't run you over that. I like this one, this one is awfully cute, and there's always pearls... But that's just my taste, of course.

I'd probably put it toward some items I have on layaway with my jeweler (I have a white and rose gold pave diamond necklace I am working toward getting out atm, so probably that one to be more specific).

I'll save it until i have enough money to buy the earrings that i've been eyeing from VCA

or maybe i'll get this from Temple St. Clair - http://templestclair.com/page/viewProduct/756

I would get some very small (understated yet elegant) diamond studs.

For a $1000 they would have to be very small diamonds.

I'd probably go jewelry too. I think I'd go for a trinity ring- not the Cartier branded, just for $ to go further and some type of pendant. I knew a girl that had a really pretty pendant that was antique, square w/ small pave diamonds and a perfect daily necklace.

Well, lessee: you could probably get studs in the vicinity of .60 tcw, a smallish eternity band, a pretty solitaire bezel pendant, small diamond hoops ... and that's just the tip of the iceberg! Being a frugal sort, I'd probably start hunting through Signed Pieces to see what they had: why pay more with a limited budget, ya know?

ETA: And, obviously, my one-track mind goes straight to jewelry!

I'd buy as much as I could on overstock... I like bracelets and rings.
