I think I may be more interested in getting a diamond pendant/neacklace instead of upgrading my diamond studs.
They're big enough to be honest, but I don't own any fine jewelry necklaces. Anyone know of any brilliant designs? Also, the opinion I mentioned I needed is do you guys think the Circle of LIfe pendant is overdone now? Seems like every woman in my 'burb is sporting one. . . . I really like it, but am wondering if there's something available just as fantastic but less common? Here's the Circle of Life by Roberto Coin for reference:

Well, I think the circle pendant is popular right now, but it has been around for many, many years. It's a classic. If you really like it, then go for it!
I am looking for a diamond pendant also. I am leaning towards the Elsa Peretti Diamond by the Yard solitaire from Tiffany's. It comes in several different carats, so maybe something to check out! |

I like the understated one stone diamond pendant on a whitegold or platimum chain. Tiffany's has one for I think $950.

I love the Circle of life but I also was seeing it everywhere!! So I bought 2 ovals..one is bigger and then a smaller one on the inside. The cool thing about it is you can seperate them and I put the smaller one on a shorter chain and the bigger one on a slightly longer chain for a layered look. So its really 3 necklaces in one! Its really lovely. If you would like to see a pic let me know!

Here's mine. Its very sparkly. What I like about it is that it has a clip bail so I can attach it to pearls or a chain.
I've had it about 6 years. Its funny, I'm not into the circle of life thing, but when I bought this pendant, I really liked the 4's aspect to it - four diamonds, four quadrants, four seasons, four directions...you get the idea... |

There seem to be two of these threads:

Swanky, what about a Tiffany piece? Bubbles (the all diamond one), Swing circle, Elsa Peretti Sevillana with plat chain (not silk cord), Victoria, diamonds by the yard are all nice.

this one isn't mine....but i really want a simliar one!
seems like it would go with most things, dressed up or down. personally not a big fan of the circle of life pendants. seems to me they'll look dated in just a few years. |

I really love the circle, but I like the drops too. I am sure many others have better jewelery advice than me!

what i am wearing is a platinum and diamond heart pendant. if i were buying now i would most likely go for a riviera or tennis diamond necklace. not huge just a nice line of sparkle. i have been seeing a lot of interest in a pendant from white flash called the bellarina. it is nice looking and i would get it as large as i could afford.

I personally would stay away from the circle of life, journey, any shape or style that has trickled down to being sold everywhere from Neiman Marcus to Walmart...... they are just too trendy for something that you want to be classic everyday fine jewelery IMO. They kinda remind me of the horseshoe carrie wore on sex a. t. city...... |

the circle of life is pretty but i think t & co has a lot of nice diamond pendants with platinum chain. i have one and never take it off. i like that the chain is platinum since my 2 yr old likes to pull on it and it's a very strong chain.
