Cartier is expected to have a price increase in September. But I was wondering if anyone here watches the prices and might know what kind of % increases have been in the past. For instance, does a $4,000 or $5,000 item go up $400-$500? If so, that is pretty significant. I will definitely get my Love bracelet before September increase but I was just curious.

It depends on the item, anywhere from 0%-10% is what I have noticed from the past.

I believe the Love Bracelet increased by almost 15% from 2007-2008. That because of 2 increases that year.

i think the usual increase is 10%.

i am eyeing the trinity ring and we checked the price in spring of '08 and then over the holidays and it went up $100+.

These price increases are quit painful for us consumers. It would be nice if they lowered their price, but I guess that would be close to impossible.
