Default How many carats is this one?
I wonder if anyone knows how many carats this one is?
It's the classic Tiffany's ring.

Please help me out here!

Best regards

I'd think it's perhaps two carats or more, judging from how big the diamond looks in relation to the band. You might want to check with Tiffany's customer service, though, just to be sure.

The one on the website is just an example of what the tiffany er looks like. It comes in different carat weight, clarity, and color.

it says from $1,200. . . my guess is the setting alone is that much, Tiffany's charges a substantial premium for their stones. You don't get a lot of bang for the buck there.
If I HAD to guess. . . I'd say it looks closer to 3-4 carats. My ring looks exactly like that proportion wise and it's 3.67 carats.

I agree, it's probably larger than 3 carats. I am pretty sure $1200 is their starting price for their .50carat. A co-worker paid $800 for her .50 from Tiffany's over 15 years ago. My SIL's 1-carat (platinum?) from Tiffany was close to $10K according to my mom.

A 1 carat from Tiffany's runs greater than 15k right now, I'm pretty sure. Prices have gone up quite a bit the past couple of years.

Oh I believe that! I realized I failed to mention my SIL was engaged several years ago...

I found this link, Signed Pieces which resales Tiffany, they have a 1.87ct circa 1973 which is being sold at ~$29K, the retail is closer to $41K. Fascinating, this seller shows the original diamond certificate with the specs.

tiffany's diamond price has gone up about 30% since 2004 when I got engaged.

Thank you guys! I was thinking of a Tiffany's e-ring as a wedding ring (yes here in sweden we have wedding rings with diamonds. the e-rings are solid gold most of the time. No stones) but now with all the "drama" of getting it here and all I think we will buy the one I saw here in our city.
I wills how you when I get it, next month I hope!

I think the smallest solitare they sell is around .25 ct, which probably be be the $1200 price. They are quite expensive for their size, but some people just really want the name & little blue box.

A girl that I knew in HS got engaged soon after graduating. She insisted on a Tiffany engagement ring, but her FH could only afford the 1/4 ct size. I think they were at least $1000 at that point (back in 2000).

I don't mean to scare you away from Tiffany's, Rouaa. They have beautiful rings & have generally always had excellent customer service. Just be aware that you'll pay a substantial premium for their merchandise.

It's ok. I'm not scared. we thought of it. It will still cost us much money som we decided to buy a ring here from Sweden. I actually saw one today. It costs about 1492 USD and that is about 9000 SEK. It's a lot of money, but it's worth it. They placed an order on the right size so I can try it on next week. the reason I'm looking for a new ring is that I want to replace my old one that we got just untill we could buy a better one.
