Hi Catabie.... It's a little high, in my opinion. I hope you don't mind me saying that. Costco has really nice quality Jewelry and they advertise that they only stock VS diamonds...HOWEVER, they say VS by IGI Lab standards which can often be closer to SI1-2. IGI is less stringent than GIA. Picture EGL-USA grading. So this stone could be closer to SI1 clarity.

I just sent out a stone similar on memo to another Jeweler that was: 5.35Carat GIA Fancy Yellow, VSI 11.07x9.28x5.72 for $49,000 I hope that helps give you an idea of pricing.

IGI isn't reliable at all unfortunately, can be 2 or more grades off on each C.

wow..that's a much better deal.

hubby wants to upgrade my ring to a 5 plus carat but he wants to buy it wayyyyy before our 10 year anniversary since god knows how much a 5 carat DEF, VVS1VVS2 could cost then. Where is a good place to look at? a jeweler? Is blue nile a good source to get an estimated retail price?

thanks!

C, I just looked and it's around $180,000-250,000. for a 5.01, F Color VVS2-VS1 GIA Radiant.

I also recall seeing an IF Clarity, E Color 5.26 Radiant (GIA cert'd) for around $210,000

I hope that helps

Yes, but some of the Fancy VIVID Yellows can be more expensive ($300-400,000).
