Help, I need a watch!
I'm in my early 30s and don't wear a wristwatch because I don't own a good one. I've always wanted a Cartier or Rolex but I never manage to save up for it due to my extraordinary love of Chanel bags and CL shoesSo I am considering cheaper alternatives like Longines, Raymond Weil & Tag. I wear both gold and silver jewelry & accessories so I would like a two-tone one. I'm completely clueless about what's trendy or suitable for my age or brand quality etc so all suggestions very welcome. Please, please advise. TIA |

I would still recommend a Rolex. If you can't afford a new one, buy pre-owned - it should not cost you more than a Chanel bag and will last forever. I bought mine off eBay and absolutely delighted. I can even recommed a seller: http://cgi.ebay.com/Rolex-Oyster-Dat...d=p4634.c0.m14. BTW, he is also in the UK.
Good luck choosing!

I would also recommend a Rolex if you can save up. Their value will only go up and the datejust is a good everyday watch. You can get the two-tone jubilee band with the yellow and white gold.
You can also look into Movados. I think prices range from a few hundred to the low thousand. |

Thanks for the suggestions so far. You ladies are the best!
![]() @ lightpinkdaisy and bubbleloba : I still intend to get a Rolex (or Cartier?) eventually, I'm just looking for an entry level watch now. The suggestion of a pre-owned Rolex is worth considering... I will check out Movados. Thanks for the ideas @ couturequeen: I am not sure what look I should be going for <sporty, classic or dressy>. My dress style runs between classic and dressy - should I match my watch to my dress style? |

As someone earlier wrote, consider a pre-owned Rolex.... It´s worth it.

Personally I would buy something inexpensive and just continue saving for the Rolex or Cartier. I had a Kenneth Cole watch until I bought my Cartier.
This is a different Kenneth Cole watch (not what I have) but I like it for only $95. http://www.kennethcole.com/product/i...075279.3075306 |

I wasn't sure if you were looking for something that is a little larger on the wrist for that sportier look. Good luck with your search. It's fun trying them on!
Here are my favorite quality watches under $1,000. A few of them come in gold or a gold/stainless combo. Baume and Mercier "Diamant" Ebel "Beluga" Tissot "Desire" Longines "Le Grande Classique" Swiss Army "Vivante" |

I would definitely save for the Rolex, or buy a pre-owned Rolex model. In the meantime, Swiss Army makes a nice watch that is very clean and simple. This would be my choice for a "waiting" watch: http://www.princetonwatches.com/shop/241169.asp. Bulova and Citizen also make nice watches that are very affordable so you can put the majority of your cash toward the Rolex fund. You could get a Rolex Date or an Explorer for around $4k...maybe a bit less if you are willing to buy from a grey dealer. Two that have very good reputations are www.alanfurman.com and www.swissluxury.com. I think Alan Furman does not carry the Date model, but they have most of the other models available.

Well, I relally loves this Longines watch, but I know this isen't what you was looking for... But Tissot also have a lot of bicolor models, take a look at the glam sport, the PRC 100 and stylis-t at the webpage.. http://www.tissot.ch

I know, really loves it. And it is so nice whit the white ceramica arround. The rubberbracelet is easy to clean, but you can also put on a bracelet. It is the Conquest, from the Longines Sport Collection.
I you like mens watches, you can also look at the Tissot PRS 200 at the webpage, like that size for a woman... Or you can do like me... wait for the new t-touch with diamonds... |
