My pick is for the Soleste, I absolutely adore that ring and hopefully in the coming year will get it. But between the Soleste and the Legacy, I would choose the legacy. I love the vintage, femineity look to it.

Well some good news and less good news. Start with the less good news: Gf was looking at some rings last night on her tablet and with me eyeing over saw the Tiffany Lucida that I had planned on getting her on the screen. So I asked what she thought of it and she quickly responded with a "No". Good thing I did not buy they one I had brought in for me early in the day. So after that I sat with her and while watching tv kept glancing at rings she had spent more time looking at.
So the Good news: These are the few new ones on the chopping block.
1. Tiffany Round with Bead Set
2. Tiffany Round with Channel Set
3. Tiffany Ribbon Ring (showed her this and said she like it but stopped herself from saying more)

Oh and I showed her the soleste as well and she turned it down. A friend of hers was just married and has this ring and she does not like the style of this ring. So it looks like a single diamond with accent diamonds is what she like now. And the search goes on.

I have an idea, you might not be interested in it...have your SA bring in all the rings in your budget, Solitaire, Ribbon, Channel/Beadset, bezet. Propose IN the store with the one she picks.

How about the Novo? It's cushion instead of round and it's very delicate and modern.

I like the bead set, but it's very similar to mine so I'm biased. The cushion Novo is also very nice.

Unfortunately she will not go near a Tiffany's store with me to even look at them. She wants to be "surprised" even though after 7 years i'm pretty sure she knows what coming but would still like to remain little to no part in the process (making it uber tough for me, but its worth it).

I do like the novo and would need to go back in and do some more looking and comparing. By the way, does anyone know tiffany's exchange policy? In the case I get something she truly does not love and we need to swap it out.

Sounds to me she prefers a round brilliant stone. I vote for the round brilliant with bead set. It'll go perfectly with a channel set as a wedding band :)

PLEASE, OH PLEASE check out Pricescope and do more research on beautifully cut diamonds before spending the premium you will at Tiffany's. You can get WAY better quality and much higher specs on color, cut and clarity (and size for that matter) by going elsewhere. The ladies on Pricescope are great.

I say propose in the store. Take her to Tiffany and propose right there, have your SA take out a tray full of the finalists and say "pick one"

Ooh yes I like this idea too!! You have to surprise her (don't tell her you're going in) but I love that idea, have them bring one in in every style she likes with the specs you like, line them up in their black "trays" in preparation. Have her come in, get down on one knee and propose, then have your SA (waiting for you) bring out the tray and say "pick one"! It's the Sweet Home Alabama proposal! Trust me EVERY GIRL would melt at that proposal and it's a great story!

I will consider the Tiffany's proposal a bit more. Maybe even bring one of her friends in on it and see what they think. I wanted to have my brother who is an amateur photographer take hidden pictures of the proposal and show them to her on a later date. I have seen pictures of this before and getting the chance to see a truly surprised and excited look on her face in pictures would be priceless and I would love to have them to show family and friends.

I fully understand I could easily spend less and get higher specs on color, cut, and clarity from multiple places. It is my choice to invest in a Tiffany diamond as I have been purchasing jewelry almost exclusively from them since I was 17 years old. I appreciate your opinion in swaying me from paying the premium of the brand, but to me its not paying for the brand name, it is paying for over 100 years of excellent jewelry making. I would like to have this ring last years and possibly pass it on to children/grandchildren one day.
So with that said, what is for favorite of the latest 3 choices I am contemplating?
