Default Got a 2ct round diamond. How do I set it? Help, Ideas!
I have a 2ct round diamond and would like to make it into a right hand ring, but I need ideas. I am already engaged and have my own 2ct round ring, so I need this to look different. not like an engagement ring. ideas please? thanks everyone!

I'd probably add some color to it, like blue or pink sapphires, or add a halo to it.

^^ i definitely agree with swanky about maybe adding some color, since it sounds like you already have a gorgeous engagement ring!

just adding a pop of color to the sides or a colored micropave halo around with a colored micropave band would probably be gorgeous, although still pretty engagement ring-ish.

or if you want to go for something really different you could go for something like this:

I agree 100% with the others... add your favorite colored stone to it... maybe one on each side and even maybe some small diamonds going down the sides of the ring.

Have you considered a pendant! Solitaire diamond pendants are so beautiful!

I agree, I'd like a 2 crt pear solitaire pendant personally
I figured she only wanted ring suggestions though

I'd like to keep it as a ring. Because I have a solitaire pendant and it's a pretty large stone and I think it will be more secure as a ring. I like the idea of setting it with pink sapphires. Anyone have any pics of something like this?

I think with most ring settings, a 2 ct round diamond will always look like an engagement ring. I like the necklace idea better... wearing two 2 ct round diamond rings on both hands is a little weird.

I agree that wearing two diamonds is weird. I don't know what to do! Maybe I can alternate between the two rings.

Pink Saffires and diamonds look really pretty together... I have one in white gold, but the pink saffire is an emerald cut, not round. I still say it would look gorgeous... just add some color to it!

it won't look "weird" but you may as well really do it up and make it a fabulous cocktail ring!

Wow, lucky woman! If you really want it as a ring, I'd look at faycullen.com for ideas. They have a lot of cocktail/antique/deco styles that use colored stones. Maybe that will give you some inspiration, esp. w/ a stone that size? Some are even just simpler halo designs.
