There seems to have been a few threads about some of you girls getting gents or large watches,so I thought it would be fun to do a thread of pics wearing gents watches, what you have, what you love and what you would give a kidney to own!!
So whether you own the watch you love or have a dream watch you'd love to own,or want some reference pics and seeing them worn and chat about them!! I'll start with mine and my DH's that we rotate between each other Jaeger Le Coultre Master Compressor Rolex GMT 2 Rolex Explorer 2 |

I haven't had any luck with the other ones... Well except a mid-size Baume & Mercier that got to be too small for him when he started getting into larger watches. I wouldn't consider that a true men's watch though.

I tried one before I got my Sub and I wasn't sure but now I'm used to my Sub I'd feel very comfortable with the Panerai

Great Thread idea Chaz!! I love gents watches on ladies!! Yours and Mooks are droolworthy!!!
I am on the waitlist with 2 Authorised dealers for the ss daytona - 1 mentioned a 5 year wait and the other a 2/3 year wait - faint!! So I am going to get a Panerai while I wait, I have my eye on poss a 44mm or 40mm, I love Pam's because I can change the straps and collect them to mix it up a bit. |

I am partial to Panerai (have a 177 and a 297) and I think the Radiomir's look HOT on women. In general, there is no such thing anymore as a MEN'S watch. Ladies can pull it all off well.
As for Rolex, while I TOTALLY want a Deep Sea Dweller (43mm of sweetness) I can't say the rest of their stuff moves me. They make 1.2 - 1.5 million watches a year. That takes a bit of the "soul" out of it for me. Just my 2 pennies. Panerai made appx. 58,500 watches WORLD WIDE in 2008. A little more TLC and "soul", IMO. I am super happy to hear you are getting a PAM!! ENJOY!! I suggest a 44mm as the 40's are difficult to sell if you ever decide to part with it, trade up, etc... |

Thanks wired, very useful info! I have joined a few watch sites and it is really interesting info there! I was thinking about a 111, 088 etc. I just need a date, auto and the ability to change straps, if I can get one with the quick change strap system, that would be perfect, buying before the april increase would also be nice!Lol!
Yep, your right on the value with the 44mm v 40mm, will most prob go for the 44mm. |

The 111 is a manual wind and has no date window. My 177 is essentially the 111 but in titanium rather than steel, and I love it, but it does need to be wound every 40 hours or so...
Just keep that in mind, as you may prefer an automatic that can be set on a winder or simply worn to keep it's wind. I am a bit of an expert on Panerai, so if you have questions, feel free to ask! I spent 2 years researching and learning about them, and continue to do so... I love the 88 (my 297 is an 88 on a bracelet) and the GMT function along with the unique hands on this model, give it a great look! You may also want to consider the 90, which is the power reserve. That shows how much "energy" is left in the wind. Cool stuff. PAM's are addicitive. Fair warning The real issue is getting the one you want, WHEN you want it, as they are so limited in production. Keep us posted on which one you go for!

Well... Rolex is classic... I mean, it's Rolex! But honestly, I like Breitling more overall. They have more variations look-wise and they are a wonderful company! I own 3 and they seriously treat me like royalty (gifts in the mail, got to ride on their plane). Never got anything from Rolex... If you want to give the size a try, pick up a ToyWatch. 40mm case (same size as Sub). They're about $150...
