Default Fancy Colored Diamonds
As most of you know, I'm a bench jeweler and I've been doing a lot of work with Fancy colored diamonds especially with South Sea & Tahitian pearls lately. So I thought I would share some educational pictures of loose stones since most of the pictures you see are after a piece is finished. These are all natural diamonds- no dyes or enhancements.

First up is a parcel of small Natural Fancy Green Diamonds.
I placed a few loose pistachio and deep green Tahittian Pearls next to it so you could see the coloring. They will be made into a an earring similar to the one in the last picture. I posted it so you could see what kinds of things can be done with tiny diamonds. These are probably a bit large for a "micro-pave" halo ring because they are 2+mm.
Fancy green diamonds can come in really interesting colors... ranging from a neonish color, to olive green, to grayish blue green. There is also a Natural Diamond color called "Chameleon" that actually changes color when it's heated or when it's in the dark.

wooow I love those first pair of earrings. And the orange diamonds remind me of Hermes.

I love fancy colored diamonds. Of course, I love "white" diamonds too, but I think the colored ones have so much personality! I'd really like to have a yellow diamond ring one day and I also really like the brown-ish pink shades, as well as some of the greens. Thanks for sharing photos!

I agree. I would love to have a fancy diamond ring but I can't afford my own jewelry. LOL Well that and I just don't have the time to spend carving a mold out and drawing things up when I have 5 million other projects going on.

Here is a basic cost idea:

*Some of the most expensive colors are Blues (the intense blues) and pinks.

*A GIA Radiant Cut, VS2 in fancy green-blue, 1.0ct would be around $100,000 ---- But if it was closer to a very light grayish-blue GIA, VS2 it would be closer to $25,000.

*Fancy PINK-Purple Diamonds have huge price ranges and color ranges.... a few different examples:
GIA, 1.73 Carat OCTAGON CUT, Fancy Intense pink SI2 Price: $300,000.

GIA, 1.0 Carat SI1 Fancy Orange Pink Oval
Total Price $30,000

1.70 Heart Shaped Fancy Light Orangy-Pink
Total Price: $16,000

GIA SI2, 0.57 Carat Fancy Intense purple Pear Shape Diamond
Total Price: $50,000

GIA 0.58 Carat Total Weight Pair of Emerald Cut Diamonds.
Natural Intense Pink, Natural Intense Purple Pink, VS2
$25,000 Total

WOW! Those are STUNNING! I am in love with the pink and purples!!

My BF and I were asking about having pink diamond pave halo around my future engagement ring and we were basically told that it's close to impossible unless we're willing to pay thru the nose...now I know why!

I'm in Wisconsin too ... can I come over and play with those colored diamonds??

ETA: after reading my post and seeing the smilies I added, I realized this sounded kinda creepy and stalkerish. Sorry.
